Afzelia pachyloba

Pachyloba is traded alongside Doussié under the general Afzelia name and shares its key qualities: high natural durability, very small movement in service and a warm reddish-brown colour. It is typically slightly lighter and paler than Afzelia bipindensis. Used for exterior joinery, flooring and marine applications. African Afzelia populations were added to CITES Appendix II at CoP19.
