Zingana
Microberlinia bisulcata
- Specialty wood
- Premium
Zingana, sold internationally as Zebrawood, is a pale golden hardwood crossed by bold dark brown to black stripes — one of the most distinctive figures in the trade. The wood is dense and hard with a coarse, interlocked grain that requires careful machining. It is used almost entirely for decorative purposes: veneer, panelling, furniture accents and turnery. Its natural range is very restricted, concentrated in south-west Cameroon.
