Ilomba
Pycnanthus angolensis
- Secondary hardwood
Ilomba is a pale pinkish-grey hardwood of low density that peels and glues very well, making it a workhorse for plywood, blockboard and interior utility work. It has no natural durability and is very susceptible to blue stain and insect attack, so logs must be processed and treated promptly after felling.
