Aningre
Pouteria spp. (Aningeria spp.)
- Secondary hardwood
Aningré is a pale cream to light pinkish-brown hardwood with a fine, even texture and a soft lustre. Figured logs with a mottled or wavy grain are highly valued for decorative veneer and luxury interiors. The wood is not durable and contains silica that dulls tooling, so it is used for interior work: furniture, panelling and plywood faces.
