Abura
Mitragyna ciliata
- Promoted species
- Promoted species
Abura is a pale pinkish-brown, fine and even-textured hardwood that machines and carves exceptionally cleanly. It is dimensionally stable and takes stain well, so it is used for mouldings, interior trim, drawing boards, laboratory fittings and pattern making. It is not durable and can contain silica, which dulls cutting edges.
